About Us
Thong Snappers (originally High Sierra Thong Snappers) has
been a chapter of the Blue Thong Society
since January 2007. Thong Snappers is a women's social, non-profit group
dedicated to making new friends and fighting frump in our
community. We support
Austin's House through fundraising and other charitable
efforts. Thong Snappers are a Carson City chapter of the
Blue Thong Society
which is an internationally known organization.
No attendance
requirements and you won't find any selling or product
promotion in our group. If you're ready to have some fun and
make some great friends, join us!
Our Two Charities
Austin's House provides a safe haven for any child in need. They
provide a nurturing living and learning environment and promote
the health and well-being of children and their families through
assessment and appropriate intervention. Austin's House helps
prevent child abuse and neglect by providing education and

Advocates to End Domestic Violence (AEDV) is a
private, not-for-profit organization. AEDV was formed in 1979 by
two formerly battered women who saw a need for a domestic
violence program in Carson City, Nevada. They have grown from a
small two-bedroom apartment, to a full-service program that
operates a 51-bed shelter and provides a wide variety of
services designed to protect and support battered women and
their children in the community.
